Jeanne

Jeanne was born and raised in Hong Kong to renowned martial arts film director & choreographer Lau Kar Leung (Chia-Liang Liu) and actress mother, Mary Jean Reimer (Jing-Jing Yung).

From a young age, Jeanne learnt kung fu from her father with the aim to continue promoting martial arts as an actress, and to continue her family's legacy to future generations. 

​

She was a child actress in Hong Kong, starring in the film Lifeline (Shi wan huo ji) (1997) by Johnnie To and TV-series "Vampire Expert II" by ATV Studios.

Jeanne read Law at the University of Exeter and subsequently qualified as a lawyer in England & Wales and Singapore. However, her true passion was in acting and theatre so she moved to New York to study method acting and musical theatre at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. Director Johnnie To wrote her letter of recommendation for the Institute's admission.

She is currently based in Hong Kong and Los Angeles, working as an actress and martial artist.
